At the Relaxation Zone you will learn how to use movement to reduce or eliminate pain. You will learn how to create a flexible, resistant and healthy body. We use techniques like Tai Chi and guided movement methods (Feldenkrais, the Alexander Technique and others), to facilitate neuro-muscular education.
My objective is to teach you how to move your body the way nature intended. First, you need to discover how to listen to the sometimes not so obvious messages of your body. As you improve your capacity to pay attention to subtle body cues, you start recovering the body-mind connection. This leads to coordinated harmonious movement and a pain free body.
The methods we teach facilitate the integration of body and mind. For that reason they help awaken the natural capacity of the organism to heal.
You will find detailed information about these methods in the links page.
People who can benefit from my approach include:
Persons recuperating from automotive accidents, falls, strokes and cardio-vascular disease.
Sportsmen and women, professionals for whom performance is critical, such as golfers, basketball players, musicians, dentists, nurses, massage and physical therapists, etc.
Persons who work in high stress occupations.
Individuals with chronic structural ailments affecting particular joints.
Guided Movement lessons like the Feldenkrais Method and the Alexander Technique provide these benefits:
Relief of debilitating joint pain.
A more balanced muscular tone.
Relaxation of chronic muscular tensions.
Improved balance and stability.
Better movement coordination.
Greater respiratory capacity.
Harmonious spinal column alignment.
More flexible joints and a greater range of movement.
